Yunevich Stadium at Merrill Field
Yunevich Stadium
Merrill Field is the home of the Saxons football, lacrosse, and soccer teams while it is also used for intramural sports such as soccer and flag football. Combining the rosters of those teams with students participating in physical education classes and intramural teams, well over 400 AU students use Merrill Field each year.

Merrill Field is retrofitted with a state-of-the-art FieldTurf installed in 2010, home grandstands with 210 box-style seats and aluminum bleachers with the capacity to seat 1,435 spectators, visitor bleachers with the seating capacity of approximately 1,355, a press box installed in 2010, and a concession stand.
The McLane Center
McLane Center
The James A. McLane Physical Education Center (named in honor of former AU athletic director James A. McLane) is home to the AU men's and women's basketball teams, the men's and women's swimming and diving teams, and the women's volleyball team.

The Center is also the hub of intramural activity on campus, including basketball, floor hockey, inner tube water polo and indoor soccer.

The modern fitness center--located on the ground floor--is a focal point for students, faculty, and staff. Offices for the Department of Athletics and the Division of Athletic Training are also here.
Joyce and Walton Family Center for Health and Wellness
9944
New York State funding has made the health and wellness annex to the McLane Center possible. The Joyce and Walton Family Center for Health and Wellness at the north end of McLane, houses an indoor four-lane track and three basketball courts; men's and women's locker rooms; storage areas, and an elevator leading to the street level entrance of McLane.

The recreation center benefits the AU community and the Alfred community at large. It is open to the public, providing a facility that can host activities aimed at promoting health and fitness. It also provides a training facility for the Saxon track, softball, tennis and lacrosse teams and the courts will help accommodate the University's intramural programs.

Gibbs Fitness Center

Gibbs Fitness Center

The Gibbs Fitness Center is one of the highest trafficked areas on campus by providing an easy to access space for students, staff and the community to work out in the ever-upgrading room, located on the bottom floor of the McLane Center. This area is also highly utilized by the Alfred University Saxons with mandatory morning workout sessions and off-season workouts.

Terry S. Galanis Family Arena

Terry S. Galanis Family Arena

The Terry S. Galanis Family Arena is Alfred University's newest addition to its facilities. The new bleachers and floor are the highlights of the renovation for both men's and women's basketball teams as well as the volleyball team. The arena also plays host to indoors practices for both lacrosse teams as well as for indoors ceremonies such as graduation, banner-raising events and even the 2015 Alfred University softball team receiving their rings for being the Empire 8 champions and making it to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

McLane Natatorium

6714

McLane Natatorium hosts not only the Alfred University men's and women's swimming and diving teams with its six, 25-yard lanes and adjacent diving well with both 3-Meter and 1-Meter boards, but it also plays a huge role in the development of young swimmers from the community and surrounding areas. Community members outside of Alfred University's campus can access the pool at certain hours, depending on the athletic season.

Harrington Field

6722

The new softball complex includes spacious dugouts; a press box/equipment storage building; bleachers, and home and visitor bullpens. The field dimensions meet specifications allowing AU to host Empire 8, NCAA and ECAC tournaments.

The softball facility is named after Doris Harrington, a 1987 inductee into the AU Athletic Hall of Fame. Harrington is former chairperson of the University's Division of Physical Education - the first woman to chair a division at AU - and is regarded as one of the people most responsible for helping expand women's intercollegiate athletic offerings at AU. It was Harrington who helped pave the way for Alfred to offer varsity softball in 1993 and the team's success today is a part of her legacy.

Jericho Hill Fields

Jericho Hills
The scenic mountain top of Jericho Hill is the training site for Alfred University's men's and women's cross-country teams. The football team occasionally practices on the grass, in season. Men's and Women's Rugby (a club sport) also uses Jericho Hill Fields, and in winter, cross-country skiers use trails on the mountain as well.
Alfred University Tennis Courts
William T. Brown Tennis Courts
Adjacent to the James A. McLane Center are six regulation tennis courts. The courts are used for men's and women's varsity tennis, intramurals and recreation for students, faculty and staff. The two courts nearest McLane have lights for night play.
Bromeley-Daggett Equestrian Center
Equestrian Center
Thanks to the generosity of Alfred University Trustee Rob Daggett, a 1981 alumnus of AU, and Catherine Bromeley Daggett, a 1958 graduate of the University, AU has a new, state-of-the-art equestrian facility that opened in August 2005.

The spacious new facility is located within a five-minute drive of campus on the Maris Cuneo Equine Park. It has offices, classrooms, viewing areas, a 200x80-foot indoor arena and two outdoor arenas, one 200x120-feet and the other 100x100 feet. The 50 stalls accommodate both University-owned school horses and horses belonging to University students who want to board their own horses.

The University owns nearly 400 acres on Lake Road, so we have acres of turnout fields. Horseback trails will wind through the woods and around Foster Lake, which is also owned by the University.

Swain Ski and Snowboard Center
6716
Swain Ski and Snowboard Center, located in northeastern Allegany County about 25 miles from the Alfred University campus, is the men's and women's Alpine ski teams' home course. The teams practice and host the annual AU Invitational meet at Swain.
